Strengthening Self-Regulation

Strengthening the individual's self-regulatory powers in a holistic way.

Can help prevent symptoms from getting worse.

Can prevent or alleviate secondary symptoms of certain clinical illnesses.

Feeling better!

Regaining physical and emotional strength, stability, and flexibility:
By fostering awareness of your body and emotions in the present, you reconnect with your natural strength and adaptability, promoting holistic healing and balance.

Body- and Process- Centred Approach

Touch, movement, breath, and energy make physical states tangible and influence them. In body-centered yoga, guidance and discussion facilitate reflection, helping integrate these experiences into everyday life. This process fosters awareness and connection to the present moment.

Promoting Self-Perception

Allowing the recognition of both disease-causing and health-promoting behavioral and lifestyle patterns.

Develop a better way of dealing with stress and pain.

Exploring Possibilities

Acquiring new perspectives and behaviours in order to strengthen healing competencies.

Resource-oriented approach to promote and expand the individual's knowledge of possible courses of action, and coping skills.

Your Therapist Anna Steinmann

Certified Yoga Therapist OdA-KT (Organisation of Swiss Alternative Medicine Professionals), Member of the IAYT (The International Association of Yoga Therapists) and a current graduate student for rehabilitation and clinical mental health counseling.

I have dedicated the past 18 years to studying yoga therapy. In 2018, I earned the "Advanced Swiss Federal Diploma of Professional Education and Training as a Complementary Therapist in Yoga Therapy," a four-year degree recognized by the Swiss Federal Government and the professional healthcare industry.

I now live in Alaska and am pursuing my Master's in Clinical Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling at Utah State University. I plan to become a Clinical Mental Health and Rehabilitation Counselor and incorporate yoga into my work.

As a yoga therapist, I consider myself a healthcare professional who integrates holistic healing with an emphasis on the present moment. I support individuals dealing with health complaints, well-being impairments, or rehabilitation needs. I guide clients to explore and understand their here-and-now experience, fostering a deeper awareness of their physical, emotional, and psychological states.

In my work, I encourage clients to become more aware of themselves internally and with their environment, strengthening their existing resources and facilitating their self-awareness and self-responsibility.

I respect each individual’s unique possibilities and tailor my practices to meet their needs. I create a safe and open space for clients to explore their feelings, thoughts, and behaviors.
